University of Verona, Italy

Biography

Since 2022, Dr. Elisa Artegiani has been a researcher at the Laboratory for Photovoltaics and Solid State Physics (LAPS) of the University of Verona, where she carries out research on photovoltaic devices and coordinates the work of postdoctoral researchers, PhD students and undergraduate students. She leads Sub-Working Group 4.1, PVD-absorber-based devices, within the RENEW PV consortium (Research and International Networking on Emerging Inorganic Chalcogenides for Photovoltaics, COST Action CA21148).

She completed a three-year postdoc, a PhD and a master’s thesis on thin-film solar cells. Her work in the field began in 2012 with her bachelor’s thesis at the Thin Film Laboratory of the University of Parma, and she has also gained research experience at the Stephenson Institute for Renewable Energy, University of Liverpool, and at Noivion S.r.l. in Rovereto.

She is the author of 64 international publications, including journal articles and conference proceedings, one book chapter and two patents, and has spoken at numerous international conferences.

On 20 October 2026, she gives a seminar at IAS UM6P, organised by the Chair in Optical Sciences and Photonics, on “Innovations and Current Research on Thin-Film Photovoltaic Cells at the LAPS Lab: CdTe, Sb₂Se₃, and CZTSSe”.
