On Wednesday, 24 June 2026, the UM6P Campus in Benguerir hosted the scientific symposium Cybersecurity and Values in the Age of Artificial Intelligence, bringing together academics, researchers, technology experts, and practitioners to reflect on one of the defining challenges of our time: ensuring that technological progress remains aligned with human values.
The symposium examined how artificial intelligence is reshaping digital life, institutions, knowledge systems, and everyday practices. Across the afternoon, participants emphasized the need for interdisciplinary dialogue capable of connecting technical expertise with ethical, cultural, educational, and societal perspectives.
The symposium featured Prof. Artur Serra, Dr. Anouar Hmimmi, Dr. Mohammed Nassihi, and Mr. Ayoub Merimi. The session was moderated by Prof. Abdellah Afifi, with Dr. Asmaa Idbella serving as session rapporteur.
The symposium was organized by the Foundation of Moulay Ali Cherif of Marrakech, in partnership with the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication, Cadi Ayyad University, and the Regional Academy of Education and Training of the Marrakech-Safi Region, with the contribution of University Mohammed VI Polytechnic.
