The Institute for Advanced Studies at UM6P continues its Seminar Series for the Academic Year 2026–2027 with a lecture by Prof. Fouad Laroui, civil engineer, PhD in economics, novelist, essayist, and Member of the IAS Scientific Advisory Board.
Entitled “Artificial Intelligence: Losing the Human Element”, the lecture will explore the growing role of artificial intelligence in our societies and question what may be lost as we increasingly delegate thinking, decision-making, and experience to automated systems. Beyond the promises of technological progress, the session will reflect on the place of critical thinking, human experience, and the fundamental qualities that define our humanity in an increasingly automated world.
The seminar will take place on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at 11:00 AM, in the KIGALI Room at the Green Center, UM6P Ben Guerir Campus.
