Biography

Professor Ahmed Zeriahi is an internationally recognized expert in the field of several complex variables and complex geometry. He is the author of numerous influential publications in leading international journals, including Acta Mathematica, Publications Mathématiques de l’IHÉS, and the Journal of the American Mathematical Society.

His outstanding scientific contributions have been honored with several prestigious awards, notably the Leconte Prize of the French Academy of Sciences in 2020 and the EMS Monograph Award from the European Mathematical Society in 2016.

Professor Zeriahi began his academic career in 1986 as a Professor at Mohammed V University in Rabat. He later joined the University of Toulouse, where he was appointed Full Professor in 1992 and subsequently served as Professor of Exceptional Class until his retirement in 2020. He is currently Professor Emeritus at the University of Toulouse and a member of the Institute of Mathematics of Toulouse.

Throughout his career, Professor Zeriahi has supervised more than a dozen PhD students, including many Moroccan scholars who are now Professors at universities across Morocco. He continues to maintain an active international research collaboration with universities in Morocco, Senegal, Vietnam, and Uzbekistan.
