About the Workshop

Stories That Cross Borders

Led by Dr. Wale Okediran, renowned medical doctor, former Nigerian Parliament member, and celebrated author of 14 award-winning novels, this workshop series invites participants into the world of creative writing and storytelling.

As IAS Resident at UM6P, Dr. Okediran brings decades of literary experience to Ben Guerir, mentoring aspiring writers in finding their voice and shaping their narratives with intention and craft.

Participants attended writing workshops led by Dr. Wale Okediran that focused on narrative techniques, travel writing, and revision practices, and included live writing exercises with direct feedback.
