Exploring Environmental Transitions & Human Realities
This program explores the dynamic interplay between agrobiological and climatic factors and their impact on human realities, through a comprehensive examination of environmental transitions. This encompasses alterations in soil composition, subsoil dynamics, vegetation, forest ecosystems, geological formations, oceanic conditions, atmospheric layers, and other elements of the Earth's intricate system.
The primary goal is to gain insights into the novel environmental circumstances confronting humanity — both present and anticipated — and to devise adaptive measures accordingly. Priority is given to research initiatives characterized by a holistic, systemic approach, recognizing the interconnectedness of various components within the Earth system.
Researchers are particularly encouraged to engage with African and Global South contexts, where climate transitions are most acute and where UM6P's regional expertise offers unique collaborative advantages.
Join the IAS community and pursue your research in a stimulating, interdisciplinary environment at the heart of UM6P's campus in Ben Guerir, Morocco.
