Upcoming Residency at IAS-UM6P:
As part of his upcoming residency at the Institute for Advanced Studies – UM6P, Professor Anthony Halog will develop a transdisciplinary research project titled “Circular Economy and Resource Governance: Transition to Circular Agriculture and Bioeconomy in the Context of Greening Phosphate for Fertilizer Production.” His work will explore innovative strategies for optimizing phosphate use in Morocco’s agricultural sector through life cycle analysis, systems engineering, and stakeholder engagement. The project aims to reduce environmental impact, support sustainable development goals, and propose new tools for environmental decision-making within the mining and fertilizer industries.
Throughout his stay, Professor Halog will engage with IAS researchers, students, and policy actors through guest lectures, collaborative discussions, and mentorship. His residency aligns with IAS–UM6P’s strategic priorities, particularly in agrobiological and climatic transitions, sustainable materials management, and human-centered innovation systems. By bridging academic research and real-world challenges, his work is expected to generate actionable insights for Morocco’s circular economy transition and broader global sustainability efforts.
